Naperville, IL –Marquette Companies, developers of Water Street District in Downtown Naperville are looking forward to the opening of SixtyFour – A Wine Bar, planned for February, 2017. SixtyFour – A Wine Bar will feature 64 exceptional wines by the glass every day, 64 local and regional craft beers every day, and an exciting menu including artisan cheeses, charcuterie, and extraordinary light fare to accompany the wine and beer selections. Wine and craft beer lovers will find SixtyFour to be the perfect addition to the restaurant and retail district, which is also home to the Hotel Indigo Naperville.
“We are excited to add SixtyFour – A Wine Bar to the list of quality retailers and restaurants that visitors to Water Street can enjoy,” says Nick Ryan, CEO of Marquette Companies. “We know west suburban wine and craft beer lovers are always looking for great new finds to share with friends. I think the ability to explore, taste and enjoy 64 exceptional wines every day will be a game changer… and the ability to buy and take home any of those wines by the bottle will be a wonderful option as well. We see this as one more unique feature that will draw visitors from throughout the region to Downtown Naperville’s vibrant shopping and dining scene.”
SixtyFour – A Wine Bar is the second wine bar opened by Loren and Amy Beadle, long-time residents of the western suburbs. Their first wine bar, FortyEight, opened on Kiawah Island in South Carolina in November, 2015. “We look forward to bringing our wine bar format to the western suburbs of Chicago,” says Amy Beadle, co-owner. “We know that our guests will love the fun and social atmosphere of tasting 64 exceptional wines, and we know they will love the creative appetizers, entrees, and desserts on our menu!”
With a retail space as well as a restaurant space, SixtyFour – A Wine Bar will also feature over 1,000 sommelier-selected wines to take home. These wines will be sourced from every fine wine region in the world, from the old world wineries of France, Italy, and Spain, to the new world wineries in the U.S., South America, and Australia/New Zealand. Matt Williams, Sommelier for both the FortyEight and SixtyFour wine bars, notes, “We appreciate wines from all over the world and the opportunity to share varietals which most people don’t get to taste regularly. Many wine drinkers have a routine consisting of drinking just three varietals. We look forward to introducing them to incredible lesser- known wines and varietals produced here in the U.S. and all over the world.”
In addition to almost eighty seats indoors, SixtyFour – A Wine Bar will feature an outdoor patio overlooking the DuPage River and downtown Naperville. And the menu will feature a wonderful selection of cheese, charcuterie, bruschetta, salads, and flatbreads, as well as seafood and more hearty entrees, and hand-crafted chocolates, sweets, and desserts.
“SixtyFour – A Wine Bar will offer its 64 wines by the glass in automated WineStations”, says Loren Beadle, co-owner, and CEO of Island Sport, LLC, the parent company of SixtyFour – A Wine Bar. “Guests will use a SmartCard to select a 1.0 ounce taste, a 2.5 ounce half glass, or a 5.0 ounce full glass from any of 64 exceptional wines. The wines will change weekly, monthly, and quarterly, allowing guests to come back again and again, having a different tasting experience on each visit. Sixty-four craft beers will also be offered daily, focused on local and regional small craft breweries in Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin.”
